Tonight, we'll be talking about the basics of trapping-- how to set snares, and how to avoid getting caught in someone else's.

Our Walk in the Dark starts at eight P.M.; don't be late.

[ooc; counselor rudy: creepy survivalist, always carries a hunting knife. I WOULD LOVE YOU FOREVER if you started / referenced rumors that campers who get on his bad side have a habit of ~mysteriously disappearing~ >3 ]

[The camera comes into focus on his face, angled down, attention obviously held by something in his hands or at his feet. If he's aware he's being filmed, it doesn't show. The transmission isn't particularly interesting, and doesn't last very long; wherever he's stuck today, it's shadowed and woody, large leaves obscuring much of the background, apparently immune to the usual seasonal dessication. But of course, Xanadu is a funny place.

Those with an eye for detail might notice, out of focus and in the background, a neat pale pile with darker streaks, a faint and fuzzy red gleam diffusing where the light hits it right. It's a messy job, all considered, but the best he could manage under the circumstances. Hardly art, but in its own odd way, not inefficient.

Eventually, he steps out of frame, and after a few moments, the camera switches off this scene.]

[ooc; open to network communication or action, I'm happy to write a fight but please ping me somehow to discuss the outcome, so we can figure out a way to end it equitably <3 if anyone WANTS a character killed in a fight Brian's more than willing as always, sob. Happy to negotiate draws, would prefer not to kill him but am open to injury. apologies if replies are slow/delayed. School > me, still T_T <3]

I'd like to remind all my biology students that we'll be doing dissections tomorrow, so please arrive on time and ready to begin. Make sure you have your lab report forms with you, and wear something you wouldn't mind getting dirty, just in case.

If you don't want to participate due to ethical reasons, you should have contacted me already; but I'll take any last-minute requests I get now into consideration. Be advised that the research paper you'll have to do in lieu of the assignment is not an easy break. If all you're looking for is a shortcut, you're better off using a scalpel to get there.

Anatomy and Life Drawing, we'll be looking at the musculature of the head and neck in both classes. Don't forget your texts.

[ooc; AU bio here~ teaching bio, anatomy, and an art class at Cutler's.]

Interesting fact: a collection of giant spider legs is not nearly as appealing the day after whatever that last curse was. I'm still not entirely sure what I had intended to do with them.

I've seen this happen before, this influx, but last time I'd just arrived myself so it wasn't any more confusing than the City as a whole. It's rather an interesting thing to observe though, now, with a little more experience under my belt.

|[ooc; he's from shrink wrap i think; i'd prefer no spoilers re: the end of the first season, but i can make him forget anything he needs to. other in-play characters, i'd appreciate if you didn't pick up on his serial killer habits from 4th-wall commentary. no duplicates please ALSO be forewarned he may not remember old characters due to a restart, but come play anyway! <3 /tl;drs]|

[AUDIO;]

[If you're sharp-eared, you might catch the slow, slick sound of metal on metal in the background here, as a certain someone sharpens a pair of lovely matched daggers.]

Anything fun going on? I'm tired of playing by myself.

[ooc; sob I'm a tool <3 All comments from [livejournal.com profile] cold_blood_spec. Let's just imagine belves look a little more like him okay it was the best I could do |D]

LAB REPORT: FROG DISSECTION

The purpose of this lab is to learn about the anatomy of the bullfrog [Rana catesbeiana] by dissecting a specimen, and examining both the structure of individual organs and the ways in which they work together as organ systems.

Non-IC cut for TL;DR and for the squeamish :3 )

Next year I get to do a fetal pig, which is gonna be awesome! But that’s all. Someone told me they used to dissect cats too but they stopped because one time the cat they were gonna dissect turned out to be pregnant, and when they cut it open all the kittens fell out and most of the kids threw up. Seriously!

|[ooc: He’s older than he looks in the userpics, I just don’t feel up to figuring out someone else to use as a PB because I am lame. He's on the younger end of the highschool spectrum, tho~ Virtual Frog Dissection ftw. If only I could find my actual old lab reports... >_> Some of this is accurate but probably not all of it... ^^ ok I am prolly overthinking this. sob. sorry.]|
