For the past year, if I stopped breathing, I'd just... stop breathing. I don't, normally, because it's kind of unsettling, but I don't really need to. And I've got a heartbeat, which is something you don't really notice until you lose it.

I'd rather not go back to normal, but I'm used to it by now. So I'm not really concerned.

The standard fare seems to be memories for a life, which at once seems equitable in that I don't know what else could ever pay for a life, yet completely unfair at the same time. I had things I was more than willing to forget, though, and so I suppose that made the deal easier for me.
