The money stayed, and the tooth grew back. I hate to say magically, but... you know what I mean. Faster than it should, for me.

It regenerated. Maybe it wasn't magical, there is nothing magical about that process in my world.

I'm sure there's a definable scientific basis in yours, though. It's still strange to me, and by and large bad for business, if you'll pardon a tasteless joke.

It could be, or it could be a payment for the discomfort. As I understood it, the hair was different-- the Deities asked for that, directly.

I'm sure. Even here, I have a few patients-- not as many as at home. But I think for some, even if they could get more advanced pieces, or find someway to regrow the limb-- sometimes not having to change is a comfort.

It is unusual. It brings up the question of whether the creatures were working on the deities' orders directly, or whether it's just their nature to take teeth and leave money.
